Content Types: Content Subtype Administration for Content Type

The Manage Content Types: Content Subtype Administration for Content Type page allows you to view the list of Subtypes associated with the current Content Type. In this example, “Annual Reports” and “SEC Filings” are Subtypes of “Investor Relations”. Notice that “Investor Relations” is the generic category while “Annual Report” and “SEC Filings” refer to specific types of documents used in the system.

 

The Item Actions Menu

For each Subtype, the following options are available:

  • Edit. Takes you to the Manage Subtypes: Edit Content Subtype for Content Type age where you can change the Name of the current Subtype.
  • Manage Subtype Metadata. Takes you to the Manage Subtype Metadata: Metadata Administration for Content Type page where you can manage the list of Subtypes for the current Content Type.
  • Manage Subtype Date Notifications. Takes you to the Date Notification Administration for Content Type page where you can view date notifications associated with the current Content Type and Subtype.
  • Assign to Content. Takes you to the Manage Subtypes: Assign to Content Search Results page where you can search for content to which you want to assign the current Type and Subtype. This is a convenient way of tagging content with Type and Subtype information after it has been checked into the system.
  • Delete. Removes the Subtype from the system.

 

The Actions and Add'l Actions Menu

The Actions and Add'l Actions menu has the following options:

  • Add Content Subtype. Takes you to the Manage Subtypes: Add Content Subtype for Content Type page where you can create a new Subtype within the current Content Type.
  • Content Types. Takes you to the Manage Metadata: Manage Content Types page where you can view the list of Content Types.
  • Additional Metadata. Takes you to the Manage Metadata: Manage Additional Metadata page where you can view additional metadata associated with the current Content Type and Subtype.
  • Date Notifications. Takes you to the Manage Metadata: Manage Date Notifications page where you can view date notifications associated with the current Content Type and Subtype.
