Content Expiration

When you check content into SmartCabinet®, you have the option of giving it an expiration date. Some content is highly date-sensitive. After a certain date it may no longer be useful. But you still may want to access it. This is what the Expired Content module is for. It helps you track down content that has expired along with content that is about to expire.

Clicking on Expired Content brings up the Content Expiration page where you can search for expired and expiring content. Expiring content is content whose expiration is near but has not yet occurred.

 

The Content Expiration page has the following options:

  • After. The system will find all expired or expiring content after this date.
  • Before. The system will find all expired or expiring content before this date.
  • Expired Content. If this check box is checked, the system will find expired content. If this check box is not checked, the system will find expiring content.
  • Search. Initiates the search.
